A MAN banned from driving until 2046 has landed in more hot water after police caught him behind the wheel in Wagga overnight.

Riverina Highway Patrol officers were conducting high visibility patrols around the city about 11pm on Thursday night when they stopped a Ford Falcon on Glenfield Road, Mount Austin.
Officers spoke with the 33-year-old driving the vehicle and checks allegedly revealed he was disqualified from driving for the next 25 years.

The Tolland man was subject to a roadside breath and drug test and allegedly returned a positive result for methamphetamine.
He was arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station where he was charged with drive motor vehicle during disqualification period - second offence.
He was refused bail and appeared in Wagga Local Court on Friday.
