The Blues' jumpers have been designed by Amunda Gorey ART, who designed Melbourne Demons' Indigenous round jumpers in the AFL this weekend.

Sir Doug Nicholls celebrates Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander culture and contribution to Australian rules football.

Coleambally are working in conjunction with their nearby Tirkandi Inaburra community centre to recognise the occasion.

"We've got the local Tirkandi Inaburra boys out at the school, they're involved in the town and with Coleambally Central School, and they'll dance and do a welcome to country," Coleambally president Glen Tooth said.

"We've got these flash jumpers which look good."

Coleambally will auction off the jumpers at a function on Saturday night. The proceeds from one of their jumpers will be donated to East Wagga-Kooringal's Chris Thwaites, to help with his recovery from a serious neck injury.

Riverina League club Narrandera will also wear a special guernsey and hold a significant event at their home game against Wagga Tigers on 7 August.

AFL Riverina expressed pride in the clubs 'helping their players and communities engage across all levels' by being a part of Sir Doug Nicholls Round which is celebrated from the elite to grassroots level.
