Wagga trainer Gary Colvin continued his good run as Sizzling Cat ($1.80) took out the Pogson Cronin Solicitors Class Two Handicap (1500m).
Neighbouring trainer Graham Byatt also enjoyed success, courtesy of Lennox Road ($4.80) in the Border Bandag Benchmark 58 Handicap (900m).
Wagga jockey Nick Heywood enjoyed a winning double, guiding Sizzling Cat and the Mitchell Beer-trained Snowbella ($5.00) to victory.
It was one of three wins for the day for Beer, who also saluted with Vinnie's Girl ($13) and Allez Brew ($16).
Colvin revealed a Highway Handicap was the next logical step for Sizzling Cat after his fighting victory.
"We'll see how he pulls up but this bloke has shown a lot of promise," Colvin said.
