Backing up Perth Cup win victory, Tiggerlong Tonk proved too good for his rivals in the Harrison-Dawson Final at Sandown on Thursday.
Jumping well from box eight, Tiggerlong Tonk ($3.40) couldn't find the rails with Catch The Thief ($10.40) holding the inside advantage.
However he still proved too strong, going on to win by just over a length.
It was his 39th win from 79 starts and takes his earnings to over $676,000.
Wagga breeder and owner Michael Finn didn't make the trip south due to the Wagga' Gold Cup program of racing on Friday.
However he was thrilled with Tiggerlong Tonk's efforts.
"He's a handy dog the one he ran down and when he got to the front I thought we would have a bit of a problem running him down but it all worked out good," Finn said.
A stud deal looms but for now Finn is more happy to keep the good times rolling on the track under the guidance of Victorian trainer Correy Grenfell.
"He's got a new lease on life," he said.
"Ever since he's come back from Perth Correy has said he's just a real happy dog.
"He must have liked it over there.
"Now Correy will throw him a ball and he'll go fetch it for him like a real pet but we;ll keep racing him while he's going good."
The Speed Star at Sandown looms as his assignment before a trip to Queensland for the Brisbane Cup.
