After a big first half by City, who featured Temora product Matt Stimson, Gundagai fullback Dane O'Hehir and South Coast's Cameron Vazzoler set up winger Chanse Perham in the 47th minute to offer Country hope at 22-6.
However City responded to run out big winners.
Meanwhile Tess Staines and Sophie Gaynor were part of Country's 40-16 loss to City at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday.
However Hay product Rachael Pearson crossed in the loss.
