Country's tough time up against City

Five players from Riverina's Country Championships side were part of the 38-12 loss to City at Wollongong on Sunday.

West Wyalong's Jake Goodwin scored a late try for Country.

After a big first half by City, who featured Temora product Matt Stimson, Gundagai fullback Dane O'Hehir and South Coast's Cameron Vazzoler set up winger Chanse Perham in the 47^th minute to offer Country hope at 22-6.

However City responded to run out big winners.

Meanwhile Tess Staines and Sophie Gaynor were part of Country's 40-16 loss to City at Bankwest Stadium on Saturday.

However Hay product Rachael Pearson crossed in the loss.
