Ian Richard Wishart was charged with attempted murder, as well as multiple drug and firearm offences, after strike force officers investigating prohibited drug supply stopped a vehicle at The Rock on September 10.
Police allege Mr Wishart, from The Rock, had pointed and tried to fire a shortened rifle at a woman at a Wagga home earlier that morning.
The 51-year-old's case, which is being prosecuted by the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, was mentioned in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday.

Mr Wishart appeared via video link as each of the 19 charges against him were listed. Not guilty pleas were entered in relation to four offences, including shoot at with intent to murder, stalk/intimidate intending to cause fear of physical harm and common assault.
All three of those charges relate to the alleged incident at a Mount Austin home, which court documents said occurred during the early hours of September 10.
Mr Wishart also pleaded not guilty to possessing an unregistered prohibited firearm, which the documents described as a homemade .22 calibre sawn-off rifle, on the same day at The Rock. Guilty pleas were entered for five charges, including possessing an unauthorised prohibited firearm and possessing an unauthorised firearm.
Ten charges were withdrawn and dismissed.
In court on Wednesday, Magistrate Christopher Halburd committed Mr Wishart for trial in the Wagga District Court on the charges to which he pleaded not guilty.
The charges have been listed for arraignment in the district court on June 11.
Mr Wishart will be sentenced in relation to the other offences. Those charges will be mentioned in the district court on the same date.
No bail application was made on Wednesday and it was formally refused. An associated apprehended violence order, which remains in the local court, is due to be mentioned in September.
