After being cancelled last year due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the Batlow CiderFest is expected to be bigger and better than ever in 2021.
The event's committee chariman Ray Billings said the anticipation had been building over the past 12 months, set to provide a welcome change of pace to the bushfire-affected town.
"The interest last year was so strong, it was going to be a major sell-out event following the bushfires, but then the pandemic hit and the disappointment was massive," he said.
"So to have it back, to have Batlow's homes filled with friends and family having a great time will be wonderful, as well as the large number of tourists that come for the CiderFest."
Ten cider, beer and wine producers hailing from the Batlow region and beyond will be serving eventgoers over the day, including Batlow Cider Co, Batlow Road Cider, The Apple Thief, Crafty Cider, Lost Pippin, 3 Sons Cider, Small Acre, Tumut River Brewing Co, VinBar and Eunonyhareenya Wines.
To accompany the brews, Mr Billings said guests could expect a "spectacular entertainment lineup".
The Spindrift Saga will headline the festival, accompanied by performers including Bradley Pollack, Len Connolly, Amiee Zabbia and Anna + Marianne Nielsen, Tumbarumba Pipes and Drums joined by Ingleburn Pipes and Drums, Colourz, Velvetsmyle and Zana Roving Acrobatics.
"The latest weather forecast is showing a bit of frost and sunny skies, so a lovely day in the mountains," Mr Billings said.
With an estimated 4000-5000 attendees, tickets for Saturday's event at Batlow Memorial Park must be pre-purchased.
The action won't stop at Saturday, though, according to Mr Billings, who said Sunday's Bushfire Recovery event would be just as fantastic.
"Most of the entertainment and offerings on Sunday will be free, and will be held at Hides Park," he said.
There will be a barbecue breakfast and coffee available along with indigenous art workshops that must be pre-booked, displays including a visit by the Black Dog riders, live music in The Can with Ingleburn Pipes and Drums, Slammin' Drams, Len and Lane, and Amiee Zabbia.
The Australian Army Band Kapooka will also be delivering a free community concert in the Batlow Literary Institute, which also requires booking.
