The Kangaroos were out of luck drawing the trip to Langtry Oval this week, where the Bombers turned up and turned on their tackling pressure for an 18.24 (132) to 7.4 (46) win.
A shoulder injury to forward Dayne Hancock in the first quarter took some gloss off the win. He's been cleared of any fractures but could face a few weeks out - including next week's game against East Wagga-Kooringal - after landing heavily on his shoulder when he got airborne for what would've been a spectacular mark.
The Bombers' 86-point win might well have been into triple figures if he'd played throughout, or if they'd kicked straighter but Shane Lenon was primarily pleased to see a strong response.
"A couple of areas that let us down against North Wagga we addressed and we improved... and our tackling was certainly one of the positives today," Lenon said.
Midfielder-forward Sam Emery's' superb start to the season continued with a best-on-ground display, including three goals, while forward James Lawton finished with eight as Marrar controlled the game.
The Bombers kept Temora scoreless in the first quarter but kicked six behinds, a habit they didn't correct until the last quarter. They'd had 19 scoring shots to two by half-time, and then kicked 7.9 in the third term for a 74-point lead.
"It was a good day for footy, no wind and a lot of those shots on goal should've been converted so that's something we need to work on. You only get so many cracks at it," Lenon said.
"But I was pretty happy with the performance. It was a pretty good brand of team footy and we had plenty of contributors."
On a tough day for the winless Kangaroos, Rob Krause had a crack throughout while Brad Moye showed some flashes of brilliance and kicked two of their seven goals.
