The defending champions piled on four unanswered goals in the opening term to take a stranglehold on the match from the outset, with their midfield and forward line dominating.
Kildare improved their pressure dramatically in the second term and became the first team in this year's tournament to kick a goal against TRAC when Tom Sase nailed a set shot from 40 metres out early in the quarter.
Kildare actually outscored TRAC two goals to one across the second and third quarters, but four last quarter goals sealed the deal for TRAC.
TRAC coach Mick Glanvill said the tough contest was just what they needed as preparation for back-to-back clashes against Mater Dei.

The two schools will meet in next week's last round before playing off for the trophy in the final a week later after Mater Dei were far too strong for Wagga High.
"I thought the boys really set the standard in the first quarter," TRAC coach Mick Glanvill said.
"Kildare really came out hard in the second and third quarter, the game was pretty even from then on.
"It was a good standard game, Kildare's pressure was good so the team will take a lot out of that game.
"It is interesting to play a team two weeks in a row, we'll just roll out and put our best foot forward and see how it goes."
Kildare coach Peter Gaffney praised his team's application against the skilled TRAC outfit.
"I was happy with our endeavour, they were skilful and got to the drop of the ball first and that's ultimately where they won the game."
Meanwhile, Mater Dei continued their march to the decider with a comfortable 83-point victory over Wagga High School.
