Detectives arrested the man, aged in his 30s, in January after an investigation into allegations of historical child sexual assaults between 2006 and 2020.
He was charged with six counts of aggravated sexual assault of a victim under the age of 16 years, four counts of aggravated indecent assault of a victim under the offender's authority, and having sexual intercourse with a person aged between 10 and 14 years.
The man appeared in Wagga Local Court on Wednesday and applied for bail after it was refused during his first court appearance in January.
His solicitor John Weir said there was now an address the defendant could reside, which was at least six hours away.
"The address is well and truly away from the Riverina," Mr Weir said.
"This is going to be a long protracted matter ... these matters will be vigorously defended.
IN OTHER NEWS:
Mr Weir said there was nothing in the man's history that demonstrated he might not show up for court.
He also said the new bail proposal had more substantial and rigorous conditions.
Madeleine Mulvaney, a solicitor for the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions, argued that the man should not be released on bail.
"[These are] very serious offences involving children," she said.
"If the accused is convicted, it is inevitable he will serve a full-time custodial sentence."
Magistrate Christopher Halburd decided to grant bail.
He said the man had no prior convictions and the bail proposal was "effectively house arrest", and a $10,000 cash deposit had to be made before he is released.
The man will live with his mother and cannot leave home unless with her.
The matter was also listed for charge certification on Wednesday, but Ms Mulvaney asked for an adjournment to May 26.
No pleas have been entered as of yet.
