With a little less than a week before the big day, some Riverina racegoers are putting the final touches on their Gold Cup outfits.
But if you're a little bit behind, here are some tips about what's in fashion this season when it comes to colours and, of course, headwear.
Marea Bright has been based out of Kristopher Graydon Jewellers on Baylis Street this week as eager shoppers come in to find the perfect hat or fascinator to stun on race day.
"There's a bit of trend to go back to actual hats now," she said.
"A lot of women do feel it is easier to put on a headband, but it does always enhance the look, so a lot of ladies have said they are looking for something unique."
Ms Bright said you could start with the hat or the outfit first, but the advantage of starting at the head is the ability to pick a fabulously, arty piece.

She is of the firm belief that anyone can pull off a hat. They just have to find the right one for them.
Ms Bright added the season's colours are bright and floral, a much-needed boost after the pandemic.
"Early in the season, I observed the popular tones were teal, light burgundy and pinks," Ms Bright said.
"Watching the trends in high-end handbags and accessories, you can see bright blues and citrus colours such as yellow and green. There are lots of bright colours and florals.
"I think that's because we all need some colour to bring back some life after last year."
Ms Bright has been a milliner for her entire career and, after growing up in Wagga, ran a shopfront on Collins Street, Melbourne.
But, the pandemic wreaked havoc, so she decided to return to her roots.
"It's so exciting to have the Gold Cup back," Ms Bright said.
"I have had a lot of anxiety throughout the pandemic, so being back here and seeing old customers and new ones have brought me a lot of joy. It feels special to be back in business.
"I am glad to be back home in Wagga, and it's lovely to be based out of Kristopher Graydon Jewellers this week."
