Emergency services were called to the scene of the crash, which happened at an embankment at the intersection of the Snowy Mountains Highway and Sandy Gully Road, just west of Adelong around 5.30pm on Monday.
Tumut Police acting inspector Matt Fowler said the B-double was carrying 20 kilograms of sodium sulfate when it rolled.

He warned the chemical could prove toxic if breathed in.
"It is not explosive and not flammable, but it is toxic," Inspector Fowler said.
"We're waiting for a repair to be done to the truck this morning for it to be safely towed from the scene."
A small quantity of the sodium sulfate leaked from the truck into an adjacent field, and hazmat crews will be on the scene in case of further spillage.
The 55-year-old truck driver received non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to Wagga Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Tumut police believe that the crash was caused by "driver error" in combination with the rainy conditions, which had made the roads slippery.
The truck is on the side of the road, which has been cleared for traffic, however drivers are being warned to stay away from the site of the crash and the adjoining paddock.
A recovery operation is currently underway to remove the heavy vehicle which is expected to continue until mid-afternoon on Tuesday. Motorists should expect some minor delays.
