A man will face court accused of attempted murder after another man was found with a gunshot wound to his face at the weekend.

The 24-year-old man was treated at Albury Base Hospital before being transferred to Melbourne after emergency services discovered he'd been shot.
Police and paramedics were called to a Holmwood Cross home in Albury around 5am on Sunday, where they found the injured man in the block of units.

He was treated at the scene and taken to hospital in a serious but stable condition, with police establishing a crime scene and beginning an investigation.
That led to the arrest of a 23-year-old man at a Thurgoona home around 2.45pm on Sunday.
His injuries are not considered life-threatening, police said on Monday.
Investigators were combing the home and searching the surrounding area on Monday morning, including a specialist search and rescue team looking on the roof of the nearby TAFE for a weapon.
The 23-year-old man is due in court today after he was charged with shooting with intent to murder, discharging a firearm with intent to cause grievous bodily harm, using an unregistered prohibited firearm and possession charges for having an unregistered prohibited firearm and having a loaded firearm endanger life in a non-public place.
He was refused bail.
