Riverina Police District officers briefly blocked off a suburban street in Wagga on Tuesday afternoon as part of an operation that left one person in custody.
Police used vans to block off Adams Street in Ashmont just before 4pm while multiple officers responded to the incident.
A NSW Police spokesperson said that officers responded to a "mental health incident" related to domestic and violence "one person was taken into custody" but was unable to give further details.
Police removed the person from the scene of the incident at about 4:15pm and started removing their roadblocks soon after.
