Residents took to social media after having property tagged with graffiti, showing yellow spray paint on their cars or garage doors in Boorooma, pleading for anyone with home security to identify who was responsible.
Riverina Police District Detective Inspector Adrian Telfer confirmed police were investigating one incident where male genitalia and expletives were painted on a garage door, believed to have occurred on Sunday night.
"Police attended the property and are following up on CCTV footage from the area, but invite anyone with information or other footage to come forward," he said.
Another Boorooma resident had their vehicle's number plate spray painted over, while a third had the same yellow paint left on their garage door.
Anyone with information is urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
