Hay proved no match for the Boiled Lollies at Conolly Rugby Complex on Saturday, falling their second successive heavy defeat.

With a number of new faces on board, coach Rob Cleland was pleased with how things came together in the 46-12 win.

"It's always nice to be unbeaten through the first two rounds and especially only conceding two tries each in the first two games," Cleland said. "That's the most pleasing aspect.

"We've managed to hold onto the core group from last season, which I think is another reason we're looking so good at the moment.

"We've had a pretty good pre-season with a lot of the same people but we have had a few girls come back from a couple of seasons ago and a few girls who have moved to Wagga."

After a 47-17 win over Leeton to start the season, Cleland has been thrilled with the team's defensive effort.

Especially after cleaning up their discipline.

"Or discipline really improved a lot from last week," he said.

Griffith also continued their winning return to the competition after taking a 20-7 win over Waratahs on Saturday.

Albury are also undefeated after taking a 51-0 win over premiers Ag College while Tumut got their campaign off to a winning start, accounting for Leeton 27-15.
