More than 200 competitors from across NSW, Victoria and Tasmania took to the new-look circuit for the fourth round of King of MX, where riders battled it out to qualify for the state final.
It was a significant moment for the club, who had not raced at Yarragundry Park since the tragic death of Beau Hilton last September.
Club president Adam Beck said the weekend's racing was a resounding success.
"It was nothing short of perfection," Beck said.
"For the calibre of the event, it was perfect. We had a lot of positive feedback on it.
"It was good to get the first gates dropped since the accident last September."
The top eight from each class qualified through to the state final, to be held at Cessnock on the June long weekend.
Max Harvey, Cameron Shaw and Eliza Dennis were among the local riders to perform well and qualify.
The Wagga club's next big competition event will not be until late June.
