Euroley trainer Ellen Bartley landed the feature race quinella at Coolamon on Sunday as Forever Yin outlasted stablemate Nowhere Creek in a photo finish.
Bartley thought she had arrived in time on Nowhere Creek, who charged down the outside, but the judge found a margin for Forever Yin, who was driven by Blake Jones.
It was Jones' third Coolamon Cup win and Bartley's first, providing the couple with a big thrill.
"It was definitely exciting," Bartley said.
"I thought I had beat Blake and he thought I'd beat him as well but we were a fair away apart so neither of us really knew who won.
"The Coolamon committee and club are all such fantastic people and make it feel like you've won the Melbourne Cup, so it was really great."

Forever Yin will now be saved up for the Regional Championships, where the first heats of the Riverina division will be held on May 8.
"We'll give him a nice easy week. He'll have a little bit of a freshen up and go straight to the heats," Bartley said.
"He went super (on Sunday). He's such a little champ. That was his second country cup and Nowhere Creek has finished second or third four times now so he's the bridesmaid again."
The Bartley stable is likely to have at least three pacers head towards the Regional Championships. Forever Yin will be joined by Nomorelying and Rossini, while Rocky Branach is also potentially a chance.
