Expected to easily account for a Thunder outfit thrashed 54-10 by Young in round one, the Bulls came in fresh off a bye and absorbed Albury's pressure early before cashing in for a 28-6 halftime lead.
The hosts kept the foot down in the second half, piling on 11 tries in total, with fullback Latrell Siegwalt (three tries, nine conversions) finishing with a 30-point haul.
The Bulls will again start strong favourites next week against Brothers, before things get tougher against the unbeaten Kangaroos.
Coach Nathan Rose said they're looking to use the early weeks to build confidence and combinations.
"They (Albury) were coming off a loss and looking to bounce back. We weathered the storm early and the points came after that," Rose said.
"There's a few things we can definitely work on, but we worked well as a unit so we've got a base to work off in the coming weeks.
"We'll be going in with the same mindset on Saturday (against Brothers). They're coming off two losses but we're looking to string a few wins together."
Rose feels having the bye in the first round was an advantage for his side.
"To be honest having the bye in the first round worked in our favour," he said.
