Missing Person Squad and Search and Rescue officers will be on the Great Alpine Road from 9am on Wednesday.
Russell Hill and Carol Clay haven't been seen for more than a year after travelling to the high country last March.
Mr Hill made a radio call from his white Toyota LandCruiser on March 20, stating he was at the Wonnangatta Valley.
It was the last time he was heard from, and the pair's burnt out campsite was found the following day.

Police have conducted several searches in the Wonnangatta Valley over the past year.
Information has led police to Mt Hotham on Wednesday.
Investigators are keen to speak anyone who was in the Wonnangatta area at the time the pair went missing.
Detectives are also keen to speak to anyone who was in the area of Howitt Plains and Zeka Spur Track on March 19 and 20, and the Wonnangatta Valley and Wonnangatta Station between March 20 to 24.
Detectives have also established that Russell was camping alone with his Landcruiser in the area of the King Billy and Bluff Track between March 11 and 13.
Information was later received about sighting of an older person or pair in the Black Snake Creek, Eaglevale River crossing and the Ollies Jump area on 22-23 March, however have never been able to establish if this was the missing campers.
