Bidgee Strawberries and Cream is gearing up for a day of family fun this weekend, packed to the brim with live entertainment, delicious food and drinks, and of course strawberry picking.
Owner Michael Cashen said he was thrilled to see the farm operating at full potential again
IN OTHER NEWS:
"We did try to get this up and running earlier in the year, but with the pandemic and then the fruit fly issue, we had to delay it all," he said.
"Now we've secured a $5000 grant from the council under their Annual Grants Program, so we're thrilled to be able to put this on."
Ticket holders will be able to enjoy everything from a jumbo slide and jumping castle through to putt putt golf, face painting, games, a petting zoo and live entertainment by Wagga's own Millie and Harry.
"All the entertainment and food vans and such have struggled to get business lately so it was an easy choice to hire locally," Mr Cashen said.
The festival will also raise funds for the Cancer Council NSW, and Mr Cashen said the day would be the perfect fit for a final school holiday activity.
"All the ducks are lining up really, the weather is meant to be beautiful, and it's just so nice to have pushed through the tough times and gotten out the other side finally," he said.
Tickets must be booked before the event on Saturday at the farm via ticketebo.com.au/bidgeestrawberries.
