Tocumwal will celebrate live music, art, food and workshops throughout the town on June 18 and 19.

The Good Times Festival is hosted by the team behind Strawberry Fields, which sold out in 60 seconds following its 2021 date release.

Good Times Festival director Tara Benny said the Strawberry Fields team wanted to build on its strong relationships forged with Tocumwal over a decade.

"It's an exciting opportunity to support the community and reactivate the arts and really do something that benefits everyone," she said.

"People should take the opportunity to see world-class entertainment in a small country town.

"It's not often you get to see this calibre of talent for free!"

On Friday night the historic Terminus Hotel will host neo soul collective IZY, Anna Scionti and Voodoo blues trio Southbound Snake Charmers.

On Saturday the closure of Deniliquin Street will transform Tocumwal's main drag with a prohibition era Speakeasy Bar hidden in a heritage listed building, a fortune teller in the Antiques Store and pub backgammon.

Tocumwal Memorial Hall will offer multiple ticketed shows including Blues royalty Josh Teskey and Ash Grunwald and award-winning Yorta Yorta singer-songwriter Benny Walker and his soul-driven guitar songs.

Melbourne legends Cash Savage and The Last Drinks will bring their raw, brooding powerhouse version of alt-country and Melbourne's Sagamore will deliver their blue-eyed soul.

Acclaimed soul sensation Emma Donovan will take the stage with Melbourne rhythm combo The Putbacks, as well as Coburg's cinematic soul journeymen Surprise Chef and hypnotic vocalist and instrumentalist Noongar artist BUMPY.

Pop-up shows will blossom all over Deniliquin Street featuring artists such as Danika Smith, Pete Denahy, Matt Katsis, George Kamikawa, Heidi Moncrieff, Shane and Ellie and Mohamed Camara.

School students will put their creative skills to work building lanterns for the Riverina Lantern Parade in a series of workshops by artist Lana Scoville.

The parade will light up the main street on Saturday night for Winter Solstice.

In line with Strawberry Fields' ethos, Good Times will operate with an environmental conscience.

Return buses will run from Melbourne, Albury, Shepparton, Cobram, Barooga, Berrigan and Finley.

Ticket sales will open on Thursday at 9am.

Good Times Festival is backed by the Restart Investment to Sustain and Expand Fund, an Australian government initiative. Performances will be free or by donation, with proceeds going to community groups.
