The bridge and its road approaches were damaged by heavy rain and flooding earlier this month, forcing the closure of the Burley Griffin Way between the Olympic Highway at Wallendbeen and Milvale Road in Temora.
A Transport for NSW spokesperson said the rail bridge will be demolished and replaced for the safety of road and rail users, with demolition work to begin on Tuesday morning.
Crews will be working 24 hours per day to demolish the structure, which is expected to be complete by midnight on Wednesday. Further work to replace the bridge will then take place.

"At this stage, it is anticipated the road may be closed for some time with more detailed information to be shared with the community as soon as possible," the spokesperson said.
"Transport for NSW is working with John Holland and Cootamundra-Gundagai council on minimising local traffic impacts until the bridge replacement is complete".
Traffic diversions will be in place via the Olympic Highway and Goldfields Way, which could add an additional 40 minutes travel time to journeys.
Motorists are advised to drive to the conditions, plan ahead, and follow the directions of signs and traffic control.
XPT services between Sydney and Melbourne will also be affected by the bridge demolition, with the rail line closed between Cootamundra and Yass.
Transport for NSW said customers on daytime services will travel by coach between Cootamundra and Yass, while night-time services will be replaced by coaches for the entire journey.
