In October 2021, the event will kick off on a Friday night for the first time.
Relay For Life is a community fundraising event culminating in a 24-hour walking relay which has been held in Wagga for nearly 20 years.
This year, it will begin on the afternoon of Friday October 8 and go through the night into Saturday at Connolly Oval.

It comes after the 2020 event was held virtually due to coronavirus concerns, with Wagga teams raising over $64,000.
Cancer Council community relations coordinator Christine Williams said the hope was a Friday night event would allow more people to join in.
"The Friday evening start was born from feedback and a survey of 2019 participants resulted in a majority support for the idea. Not only will it be a fresh start to the relay, but it enables participants to get their Sunday back," she said.
"We are also hoping that by starting on a Friday afternoon, many people who are unable to commit to the entire event, will come down after work or school and show support."
The candlelight ceremony will be held on the Friday evening.
Registrations are already open for the Wagga event, with an earlybird special until April 7.
Participants can register at www.cancercouncil.org.au/waggawaggarelay.
