A man accused of wielding a sword was one of two arrested and charged over an alleged robbery in Wagga at the weekend.

About 11.40pm on Sunday, a man and two women attended a home in Ashmont to visit the occupant, a 27-year-old woman.
Police claim the 39-year-old man threatened the occupant with a sword, before demanding cash and a mobile phone.
It is further alleged the occupant was struck across the back of her head with the hand grip of the sword, before the trio left the home.

The woman sustained minor injuries as a result but did not require hospital treatment.
The incident was reported to police and officers from Riverina Police District commenced inquiries.
During the investigation, a black Suzuki Swift was stopped in Trevor Street, Turvey Park, about 11.40am on Wednesday.
A 39-year-old man and 29-year-old woman were arrested and taken to Wagga Police Station.
A short time later, a search warrant was executed at a home in Mount Austin where a sword and other items of interest were seized for forensic examination.
The man and woman were both charged with robbery armed with offensive weapon and refused bail to appear in Wagga Local Court today.
Inquiries are continuing.
