St Patrick's Day has been an occasion for Guinness drinking, green beer and Irish tunes over the decades, and this year will be no different for Wagga's Victoria Hotel.
Licensee Harry Vearing said while patrons were always welcome to enjoy a pint despite the pandemic's restrictions, a recent announcement would give them a little extra something to celebrate.

"Our patrons are now allowed to stand, which I think is such an Aussie tradition, standing around having a beer and a yarn with a mate," he said.
"There's still no dance floor allowed, but there's nothing stopping people from having a little boogie while standing at their tables, and I think a lot of people have been missing that the most."
The Victoria Hotel is kitted out with green decorations, serving up pints of Guinness and showcasing DJ Rossi from 10pm, which Mr Vearing said had an "Irish touch".
"It's all happening just in time, there'll definitely be a great vibe around with people able to relax more," he said.
Restrictions surrounding weddings and funerals have been signaled as next in line to ease, as well as growing support for the revival of live music events.
As the government stated its hopes of having the same rules eventually apply across all settings, Deputy Premier John Barilaro said the decisions would rest with how much risk is minimised, not whether the state records zero cases on any given day.
