The date was set for March 27, but organisers announced over the weekend they would be unable to proceed.
Cootamundra Strikers Soccer Club president Andrew Parkinson said the committee decided they would not be able to police the current council restrictions.
"It's a bit of a pain because that's our major fundraiser and this will be the second year we haven't been able to do it," Mr Parkinson said.
"We understand, they've (the council) got to look after the community as well."

He said the key issue was the restrictions around dancing, with the maximum dance floor size well beyond the event capacity of 500.
"You just can't tell 470 people they have to not dance, it was never going to happen," Mr Parkinson said.
He said the BnS organisers were planning on adjusting merchandise and selling it on the event's Facebook page to hopefully get back some of the money they had spent on the cancelled events in 2020 and 2021.
"We were pretty lucky we haven't had to outlay a great deal and what we have had to outlay, we may be able to recoup some of the costs," he said.
Mr Parkinson said they were hopeful things would soon get closer to normal, not just for the planning of BnS events in Cootamundra and elsewhere but for the wider community.
He said the event, the biggest fundraiser for the soccer club, would definitely be back.
"To all the pepple that want to keep coming and wonder what we're going to do in the future, we're definitely not going anywhere," he said.
"We're going to stick by it and stick by everybody that supports us."
He said merchandise would likely be for sale soon via the event's Facebook page.
