Junior high school students from eight Wagga schools met at the showgrounds for a day of STEM-themed challenges.
From coding to power conservation, students worked in teams to solve problems and earn points for their school, concluding in the classic bridge-building grand finale.

Mater Dei Catholic College took out the win at the 2021 event, with The Riverina Anglican College coming in second and Kooringal High School placing third after wowing the crowd with an unbreakable bridge.
Thursday will see Wagga's primary school students take on the challenge.
The Science and Engineering Challenge is run every year for schools across the country in partnership with local Rotary groups and science and engineering businesses.
