When their four-year-old daughter began complaining of a sore ankle, the Halliburton family never imagined how their lives could change in an instant.
After some testing and an emergency trip to Sydney, the doctor said the words that no parent wants to hear after they arrived - Molly had leukaemia.
While the family have been grappling with a move to the big smoke to be closer to treatments, the community of Junee have rallied to help them.
The efforts have culminated in the creation of Magic for Molly.
Among the town's efforts include the Junee Bakery selling cupcakes with yellow icing to raise money.
IN OTHER NEWS:
This Saturday, the town and surrounding communities will take part in Magic for Molly Day, which the director of Junee Remax, Jenna Pollard, said promises to be an incredible day.
"This is just what Junee does," she said.
"I have never known it any other way. Everyone always gets behind someone who needs help, and I think Molly holds a special place in everyone's heart.
"The Halliburtons are deeply involved in the community out here."
The day kicks off at 10am with craft stalls, children amusement rides and a touch carnival which will run until 4pm.
A show and shine will also be running from 12pm and live music will take to the stage from 4pm with Troy Fisher followed by The Mighty Yak.
"We also will have a live-action from 7pm, and alcohol will be served from 2pm with food stalls running throughout the day," Ms Pollard said.
"Everything will be going to Molly and her family.
"We really encourage people to come out and show their support."
Magic for Molly Day kicks off at 10am on March 6 at Laurie Daley Oval in Junee, with a gold coin entry fee. For more information, click here.
