In a game of momentum changes the under 16s outfit responded after Central Coast scored two converted in the opening six minutes to take a 18-12 lead into the break at Harden's McLean Oval on Saturday.
However the Bulls were held scoreless in the second half as the Roosters went home with a 24-12 victory.
Coach Ben Mott believes it was another good learning experience from the side.
"It was a cut and paste of last week - the same little errors and couple of missed tackles," Mott said.
"We had more than enough opportunities, we had enough momentum to keep going at times but a little knock on here or there, a missed one-on-one tackle and it's back to the drawing board we go."
Despite a third straight loss, with the biggest margin being 12 points, Mott is pleased with how the side has improved throughout the competition.
"They are going well, there is no question about that, and they have come along in leaps and bounds," he said.
"They've probably deserved a win by now but it just hasn't happened for us.
"I hate to say it but the last two games are going to be tough too as the Tigers and the Dragons are looking pretty strong too."
Mott is looking for the side to regroup when they head to Camden on Sunday for a massive day of Riverina rugby league.
They will play the first of four games against Macarthur Wests Tigers, with the open men and women to start their campaigns.
Riverina's Laurie Daley Cup side will be looking to put in an improved performance after they were thrashed for the second straight week.
Central Coast proved far too strong, scoring a 38-12 victory.
Riverina trailed 18-0 at half-time and then conceded the next two tries before finally getting on the board.
Adding to the pain, the under 18s team has a number of injuries to contend with as well.
Mott has been forced to make a couple of changes to his side with hooker Chaise Sergi, who scored in Saturday's loss, injuring his knee.
Jacob Cain comes into the side while the forward pack will be reshuffled with Jaxon Lemon moving into dummy half.
Jacob Iosefa also returns to the line up.
