Two clubs notched up their first ever victory in the second round of the Southern NSW Women's AFL season on Friday night.

New club Ganmain Grong-Grong Matong got on the board with a 35-point win over the Griffith Swans, while the more seasoned Brookdale Bluebells finally sung their song after a 31-point win over Collingullie-Glenfield Park.
Brookdale team manager and trainer Dee Wolter said the team was ecstatic after recording the club's first win at the start of its third season.
"It's been two years in the making," Wolter said.
"They were overjoyed."
The Bluebells got on the board early with two first quarter goals to Sophie Gavel, and the scoring took off from there.
Collingullie had kicked two points at half-time, but Brookdale held them scoreless in the second half as they kicked their way to a 5.3 (33) to 0.2 (2).
Wolter said the team had made significant improvements in the preseason following the promotion of assistant coach Mark Hyde to the senior position.
"He's taken the girls to that next level," she said.
"They're going in there and they want to achieve a win."
Wolter said the team had stepped up their training efforts in the lead-up to the season which has seen a major improvement in ball skills.

She said this in turn had boosted the confidence and enthusiasm of the playing group, and now they had notched up a win they could continue to build on that enthusiasm and momentum.
"I think our confidence is going to be quite high," she said.
The Bluebells take on Griffith on Friday, and Wolter said the group were looking forward to seeing where the next game takes them.
After losing their inaugural match to Charles Sturt University, Ganmain are now on the winners list after their 5.12 (42) to 1.1 (7) win over Griffith.
In other matches, North Wagga Saints got their second win for the season against East Wagga-Kooringal, 3.7 (25) to 1.4 (10).
Charles Sturt University's match against Narrandera was a one-sided affair, with CSU holding the Eagles scoreless to win by 61 points.
The round two results put traditional contenders CSU and North Wagga firmly at the top of the ladder, with dominant performances earning the university side a percentage of 1200.
