Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a missing Victorian believed to be in Gundagai.

On Thursday afternoon, Victoria Police issued a statement appealing for help to find a man called Simon from Alfredton, Victoria.
He was last seen at Alfredton at about 2pm Wednesday, February 17.
However, police believe he could be in NSW, particularly in the Gundagai region.

The man's disappearance is extremely out of character, and police and family are concerned for his welfare.
The 51 year old man of Caucasian appearance was last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue sports shorts, runners and a black hat.
Anyone who believes they have seen Simon or has any information is urged to contact the Ballarat Police Station on 03 5336 6000.
