Daly is a former coach at Ungarie who played much of the 2019 Riverina League season with Wagga Tigers before injury hit.

The smart midfielder is just the right profile for CSU ahead of the resumption of the university semester and a potential influx of players.
"He's exactly the type of player that we need to bring to the club," Cohalan said.
"We've got a lot of young, quick, fit 18 to 21-year-old players but someone who's played a bit of footy and is in the 25-26 age bracket brings that experience.
"Grant's coached and played at Ungarie and played for Wagga Tigers in 2019. He brings a lot of quality and we think he'll be a really good addition to our midfield group and also off the field with his leadership and his experience in and around footy clubs."
Daly played seven seniors games for Tigers two years ago until a serious quad tear cruelled his season with the eventual premiers.
Cohalan said he's been impressed by the midfielder at training, adding to a cohort of senior players that includes Wayde Archibald, Lachie Moore and Sam Barrow as well as recruit Andrew Dickins.
"We're well-positioned for leaders and those boys have been leading the way at training since before Christmas and setting some high standards for the uni students to rise up to and meet when they return," he said.
The new coach was also excited to announce Jacob Bell's move to CSU from the Northern Jets, rating the tall young utility highly for his fitness and agility.
Bell had a full season of seniors with the Jets in 2019 but made his senior debut four years earlier.
Cohalan said CSU are still talking to some established footballers. However after last year's non-season, the club is hopeful of effectively seeing two year's worth of new arrivals landing and looking for a year of footy.
"We're pretty happy with what we know we've got coming and then there'll be new ones," Cohalan said.
"A lot of first-year students last year didn't get to have a full year living and studying in Waga, due to COVID. They got to train but didn't play and we've managed to touch base with most of those guys and they're pretty keen to be back at training in the next week or two so it's pretty exciting."
The Bushpigs have scheduled practice matches against Riverina League clubs Narrandera and Turvey Park next month.
Their Farrer League campaign will begin at Coleambally on April 10.
