Not only does he line up Tocatchacod in the SDRA Country Championships Qualifier at Murrumbidgee Turf Club but also has promising two-year-old Rocket Tiger nominated for the group two Silver Slipper at Rosehill.
After wins at Canberra and Randwick, Spackman's first metropolitan success, in December, Rocket Tiger steps up to a new level for his third race start.
However Spackman is thrilled with how he comes into one of the traditional lead ups to the Golden Slipper.
"He's a nice horse and needs to go there," Spackman said. "I'm just rapt with the horse - he is the ultimate professional and anybody would love to have him.
"We're just blessed to have him."
Spackman is hoping Rocket Tiger can live up to expectations as his team dreams of earning a place in the world's richest two-year-old race.
Closer to home, Spackman is chasing more success in the $150,000 qualifier.
No stranger to success in the race, after finishing second in the inaugural qualifier with Yet Tobe Convinced before O'So Hazy triumphed in 2018, this time Spackman is hoping he can cause a boilover.
"He's probably only had three bad runs in his life and out of 20 that's not a bad effort," he said.
"He's genuine but doesn't always have that knockout punch you need. It's the only thing I'm worried about."
Tocatchacod has won two of his 20 starts but has been placed on nine other occasions. Spackman hopes he can deliver on the big stage.
"I've always been looking at it but probably would have liked to have won a race or two more," he said.
"He's very honest and if the right things happen I believe he will be right into it up to his ears.
"I can't get the horse any better, I thought he trialled very good the other day and they will know he is in it."
The Country Championships Qualifier returns to Wagga this year but there are only four local horses in the 16 nominations.
Gary Colvin will be represented by Another One and Sizzling Cat while Chris Heywood has Blitzar.
