Riverina Fresh was declared the No.1 brand in the 2020 Finders Retail Award, beating out industry giants such as Devondale and A2 milk.
Taste-testers judged the milk on criteria such as taste, freshness, and value for money, and it scored the highest out of all other brands at 8.46 out of 10.
It also garnered a 100 per cent recommendation rate from every single one of the 3000 consumers who were surveyed.
Riverina Fresh chief executive Rob Collier said the credit should really go to the dairy farmers, who always managed to turn out high quality produce even in the face of drought and hardship.
"It feels fantastic. It's great recognition for the farmers and the employees and all our partners across the Riverina who have been producing premium quality milk for 99 years," Mr Collier said.
Riverina Fresh is supplied by 20 local farmers, one of whom is Euberta dairy farmer Simone Jolliffe.
"We're really proud, because we're part of the team that supplies milk into that brand, but it's very much a team effort," Mrs Jolliffe said.
"It really cements the quality of primary production and produce that comes out of the Riverina."
NSW Farmers' David Carter said it had been a good season for Riverina farmers in general, especially after having endured two years of harsh drought.
Mr Carter said an excess of rain had almost spoiled the harvest season, but that their worst fears had been averted when the weather levelled out during summer.
Now, Mr Carter said all the signs were pointing out in the right direction, with good soil moisture, mild weather, and solid produce prices promising a good season ahead for the Riverina.
He said most farmers would be spending this year under the pump, with plenty of work to go around in the foreseeable future.
"There's no real need for doom and gloom. It's all positive, and as long as things stay positive going forward we'll be alright," Mr Carter said.
"There's a buoyancy in farmers' steps at the moment, put it that way."
