A man has been charged following a serious crash in the Riverina which has left a passenger fighting for their life.

Officers from the Murray River Police District were called to the Olympic Highway near Railway Parade at Henty about 10.40pm on Saturday after reports a Nissan Tiida had hit a tree.
A 27-year-old male driver managed to free himself from the wreckage, while the two passengers - a 22-year-old man in the front and 21-year-old man in the rear - were trapped in the car for a short time before members of the public came to help.
Emergency services arrived and the three men were treated at the scene by NSW Ambulance paramedics.
The 22-year-old man was taken to Albury Base Hospital before being flown to the Royal Melbourne Hospital, where he remains in an unstable critical condition.
The other two men were taken to Wagga Base Hospital in a serious but stable condition.
Officers from the Crash Investigation Unit commenced an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the crash.
About 2.40pm on Tuesday, officers attended the hospital and charged the driver, Corey Hastings, with dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and negligent driving occasioning grievous bodily harm.
Mr Hastings was also charged with reckless driving and using a light vehicle not complying with tyre standards.
He was granted conditional bail following a bedside court appearance on Wednesday.
As part of his bail conditions, Mr Hastings must not occupy the driver's seat of a motor vehicle and will be required to live at an Albury address when released from hospital.
He is due to appear in Wagga Local Court on February 17.
