Lake Talbot Water Park has been under extensive renovations with stage one and two opening to the public in December.
The earlier stages of the overhaul included barbecues, water slides, a kiosk, top changerooms, the Olympic and middle pools and the new splash park.
State Member for Cootamundra Steph Cooke and Narrandera mayor Neville Kschenka were among the invited officials who cut the ribbon for the park's grand opening.
After that the fun continued, with residents from all over the Riverina taking a dip in the pool and playing in the splash park.
Many of the visitors had made the drive from Wagga to Narrandera to enjoy Lake Talbot on the warm afternoon.
