POLICE have charged a man allegedly found with a loaded pistol, ammunition, explosives and drugs inside a cabin and vehicle in the Riverina.

Officers from the Murrumbidgee Police District Proactive Crime Team visited a Leeton caravan park on Yanco Avenue about 1pm on Monday, when they spoke to a 21-year-old man and searched his cabin.
Police allegedly found MDMA, methamphetamine, cannabis, explosive detonators and a large quantity of fireworks and ammunition during the search.
After searching the man's black Commodore utility, officers also allegedly located and seized a loaded 0.22 calibre pistol, and more ammunition and fireworks.

The man was arrested and taken to Leeton Police Station where he was charged with three counts possess prohibited drug, supply prohibited drug (indictable and commercial quantity), possess unauthorised pistol, possess unregistered firearm-pistol, not keep firearm safely-pistol, and three counts handle explosive/precursor without authorising licence.
He was refused bail to appear at Griffith Local Court today, January 26.
