The former New Zealand pacer was forced to race without cover throughout, but still had enough to run past leader Nifty Jolt in the straight to win by 1.1 metres.

The $1.45 favourite was the first leg of a double for Leeton trainer Darrell Hillier.

Hillier also won with Its Nicholas.

It provided Michael Towers with a winning start to his move to Leeton, but he need stewards intervention after successfully protesting against Heavenly Wisdom with only a head separating the first four runners.

The win of Unfinished Business also secured driver Adam Richardson a double after combining with Leeton trainer Paul Symes to win with Beau Brown.

After getting an easy lead, Beau Brown zipped home in 27 seconds for his sixth career win.

Beau Brown now heads to the Junee Pacers Cup heats on Tuesday, where he has drawn barrier two.

Meanwhile Goulburn again proved to be a happy hunting ground for West Wyalong trainer Peter Birks.

For the second week running Hell Of A Memory proved too good for his rivals.

After winning his first race last Sunday, Hell Of A Memory took out the Goulburn Guineas.

Young trainer Glenn Wilmot also won the Menangle Country Series heat on the card with Luke McCarthy driving Sincitygambler to victory.
