Falls Creek woke to a dusting of snow on Saturday morning with temperatures dropping to a low of minus 2 degrees. It was a chilly start to the day as residents encountered a taste of winter in the midst of summer. Falls Creek Ski Lifts posted pictures to its social media of roofs, hilltops and cars dusted in white. The January weather average for Falls Creek usually sees temperatures hover around a high of 19 degrees and low of 10. IN OTHER NEWS: It was also a cooler than average start in Albury with the mercury hitting just under 10 degrees at close to 6am on Saturday morning. It comes just days after the Border sweltered through a heatwave, with temperatures nearing 40 degrees. Temperatures are set to remain mild into the start of the week as they climb back into the 30s.
