A man accused of firing a gun in broad daylight outside the Wodonga Kmart building is weighing up his legal options.

Daniel Boyton faced court on Thursday from the Ravenhall Correctional Centre, sporting a beard and wearing prison greens.
His lawyer Mario Vaccaro said the case could resolve, but he would need to talk to Boyton.
"Mr client wants a bit of extra time to consider it and discuss it," he said.
"What I'll be seeking your honour is an adjournment to the next committal mention date."

Boyton allegedly fired a gun in the Kmart car park on October 21 last year during an argument.
He was arrested a short time later.
The incident occurred in broad daylight with multiple witnesses and a small bullet hole was left in the side of a steel support beam.
Mr Vaccaro said discussions had been held between defence and the prosecution with some charges likely to be withdrawn.
Boyton has been in custody since his arrest and did not apply for bail on Thursday.
The case will return on February 11.
