ICG Construction office manager Emma Burkinshaw said after an almost 12-month battle to sort out the issue, she would encourage others in similar situations to persevere.
She realised in February 2020 they had been overcharged on a contract with the telco.
In June 2019, ICG Construction signed a 36-month contract for a 100 number range to total $209.85 per month. Mrs Burkinshaw said initially they were being charged twice that.

Telstra's November 2020 invoice claimed $44,477.42 was overdue but had since issued a $14,088.17 credit for some of the incorrectly issued invoices. But Mrs Burkinshaw said $26,800 of that was still incorrect.
Finally, on Monday, after The Daily Advertiser made some inquiries of Telstra and published a story, the company reached out to say they were "urgently" investigating the matter.
Then on Wednesday, Mrs Burkinshaw's birthday, Telstra called her to say the bill had been waived.
IN OTHER NEWS:
"It's a great birthday present that it is resolved, but it should not have taken this long to do," she said. "It's a lesson to push on when it comes to these things."
Mrs Burkinshaw said she stands by the point that it was frustrating a "telecommunications company cannot communicate".
"It would be nice for Telstra make it easier to speak with someone rather than getting passed around," she said.
"Feedback from others made me realise it doesn't seem to be an isolated issue."
