In a statement provided to The Border Mail by a family-friend the couple said they had been overwhelmed by the generosity of the community.
"Stacey and Chris would like to thank their friends, family and the wider community for their overwhelming support, generosity and kindness over the last few days after the loss of their beautiful little boy Lincoln," it said.
The two-year-old was thrown from an ATV on a Barnawartha North property on Christmas Day at about 11.50am. Despite attempts at CPR he was unable to be revived.
Since news of the incident broke, the Baranawartha and wider border community has paid tribute to the young life, sent messages of support to the couple and donated thousands to the devastated family.
Lincoln is survived by his younger brother Xander. The family's first children, twin girls, are deceased.
More than $45,000 has been donated to support the Browne family, who are well known in the community and basketball circles.
More than 500 people have contributed to the fundraiser, some donating $5000 each. It has been shared close to 3000 times online.
Organisers of the gofundme thanked the community for their support and said "this will help with funeral costs, a memorial for Lincoln and allow them some more time together."
Police continue to investigate the incident and a 31-year-old man has been interviewed and released. No charges have been laid.
