A 14-year-old girl reported missing from Young last month has been found "safe and well" after police called on the public to help them find her.

The teenager was last seen in Wagga on November 28 and was subsequently reported missing.
Officers from The Hume Police District were notified and commenced a search for her. In an appeal to the public, authorities said the girl was known to frequent the Wagga and Sydney Metropolitan areas.
NSW Police confirmed on Tuesday afternoon that following extensive inquiries, the 14-year-old was located "safe and well" on December 24.
In the statement, NSW Police said it would like to thank the media and the community for their assistance in searching for the girl.
