After an agonising three-year wait, the family of murdered Wagga woman Allecha Boyd can finally lay her to rest after police confirmed human remains recently uncovered are hers.

The remains were located during a coordinated search by detectives from Riverina Police District in the Lester State Forest.
Subsequent forensic examinations have confirmed the remains belong to 27-year-old Allecha Boyd, who was last seen in Coolamon on the afternoon of August 10, 2017.
Two men aged 19 and 37 and a 35-year-old woman have since been convicted in relation to her murder.
Riverina Police District Commander, Superintendent Bob Noble, said detectives made a commitment to finding Allecha and providing answers to her loved ones.
The Strike Force Amias team left no stone unturned in their investigation and were determined to give Allechas family the opportunity properly and respectfully lay her to rest, he said.
