Two people have been taken to hospital after a car and motorcyle collided near one of Wagga's busiest intersections.

Emergency services were called to Docker Street, south of the Edward Street intersection, just before 2pm on Wednesday.
They were responding to reports of an accident involving a car and motorcyclist.
A man, who had been on the motorcycle, was treated by paramedics before being taken to Wagga Base Hospital suffering from back pain, a spokesman for NSW Ambulance confirmed.
A female from the car complaining of back pain was also treated and transported to the hospital.

Traffic was brought to a standstill on the southbound lanes as patients were treated at the scene and the road was cleared of vehicles and debris.
A damaged red 125cc Honda motorcycle was marked with police tape in the parking spaces, with a pile of debris stacked alongside it.
One of the northbound lanes was also impacted for a time.
