Ross Smith is settling down at the age of 75 after a "hectic" career, having worked at a breakneck pace since childhood.
"I know every back road and every side road around Wagga, I can tell you," Mr Smith said.
"I've been working nearly seven days a week for a long time, and whenever you're not driving you're fixing a truck."
He has been behind the wheel since age 11, when he would drive into town with his mum to do the grocery shopping.
He is proud to say that he has never had a single crash in all his years of driving, although he has narrowly escaped being gored by bulls while on duty.
"No crashes, no accidents. A few cattle ran over the top of me, but we pick ourselves up and go again," Mr Smith said.
"I've had a few bulls run us down, but they still haven't killed us so it's alright."

Mr Smith has no idea what he will do with all this free time on his hands, saying that the job of a livestock driver does not leave time to cultivate other hobbies.
However, he does say that when the pandemic settles down he would like to get out onto the road once more and travel Australia.
In the meantime, he plans to sit back and relax.
His iconic Ross Smith trucks are going up for auction, and will be sold on January 18 and 19.
