The Blues lost first place on the ladder with their five-wicket loss against Wagga City last week after failing to capitalise on a good start.
Captain Luke Gerhard is looking for the side's batsmen to change their approach after finishing with a below par score.
"We spoke about it after the game and the set in people have to take responsibility to go and get a big total," Gerhard said.
"Four or five of us got starts but didn't go on to make a big score, which is the disappointing thing, but obviously it is still early in the season and we are still going ok."
The Blues tackle St Michaels at Robertson Oval on Saturday.
Saints have started to turn their season around with a couple of victories in the past month led by captain Beck Frostick.
South Wagga will make one change with Nathan Butt coming in for the unavailable Mitch Sykes.
