Just a day after hosting their most successful 3x3 tournament in the city to date, CLB general manager Matt Hollard revealed the organisation has extended it's original deal for another three-year term.
It comes after a big two days in Wagga over the weekend, where 40 teams took part as the event attracted teams from Sydney, Canberra, Albury and more.
Established CLB club Sydney Supersonics took out the men's open and elite title on Saturday night with a 21-6 win over an Albury team.
Zac Maloney's Riverina Bobcats lost to the highly-rated Supersonics outfit in the semi-finals 9-3.
Hollard was taken aback by the success of this year's Wagga event.
"It was fantastic. We had a really high standard of competition," Hollard said.
"It was the highest standard we've had in Wagga in the three years and certainly the best turnout in terms of numbers over the two days as well.
"It was really good. I was really impressed by all of the support we received from the Wagga community and council."
After a striking a three-year deal with Wagga City Council, the first two years of 3x3 event was ruined by excessive heat and rain.
Finally, the weather gods looked down on the event favourably and the organisers were able to see how much potential the event has in Wagga.
"Absolutely, it was really good," Hollard said.
"That's why we were really keen to go again for another three years and we'll be back with a lot more stuff between events now that we've formed the Riverina Bobcats here. They will be playing in a lot more events and we'll have that pathway from juniors right through to opens.
"As I said before, the community as a whole was absolutely brilliant. Wagga Basketball Club got behind us this year, the council was absolutely brilliant in every aspect, getting us here in the first place and then supporting us."
Riverina Bobcats' open women's team made it through to the final, only to go down to Team NT 14-8.
Warriors beat the Riverina Bobcats 9-4 in the under 15 female final, while Coota Boys won the under 18 male final 11-10 over Next Sonics A.
Suspect won the under 15 male final 11-8 over Tsunami, while Titans defeated The Other Team 11-5 to win the under 13 male title.
Riverina Bobcats' Zac Maloney said it was tough competition.
"It was one of the most competitive tournaments we've had here, and that I've been to," Maloney said.
"There were five or six teams that any one of them could have won it. So to make it to the semis and get knocked out by the eventual winners, we were still pleased with how we went.
"We can only build and get stronger from here."
