The Boiled Lollies will celebrate their 70^th anniversary in 2021 and Schreiber has re-committed to the club.

He made a big impact after moving across from Group Nine club Brothers this year with Wagga City going from missing out on finals to not losing a game in the shortened Southern Inland season.

President Daniel Ribot is thrilled to have Schreiber back on board.

"It's fantastic to have him back and we are very excited moving forward," Ribot said.

"It's a big year for the club being its 70^th year and we hope to have a pretty competitive year across all grades."

Steven Tracey was another new face at the club this season after making the switch back to rugby union after success in Group Nine.

However the former Waratahs premiership player he recommitted to his new club and will take on the role as backs coach.

After starting out 2020 with Southcity, Ribot is pleased to see Tracey, who didn't play a lot of first grade last season, want to take another step forward with City.

"He's just looking to step up and take a more senior role and the coaching staff and committee saw fit to give him a crack," Ribot said.

Adrian Quilty has been named as forwards coach.

Wagga City had plenty of points in them in 2020 and Ribot expects to have a similar line up to this year.

"There are a few people that we know of who may be moving away but I think we are keeping the bulk of our squad," he said.

However Rei Spooner has moved away while James Olds won't be back after he linked with City after Albury were withdrawn from Group Nine.

"He was meant to play with the Thunder last year but contacted us and wanted somewhere to play some football," Ribot said.

"He wasn't interested in playing second grade and we were very lucky to have him last year but he has some pretty big things on the horizon in regards to rugby league so we knew he was always going to be heading back to that code."

Wagga City intend to start their pre-season training in January.
